CFD Study of Wall Structure on Heat Transfer Enhancement in Mini-channels

Abstract
Considering the importance of the role of micro-channels in increasing heat efficiency and the important role of geometric parameters on heat transfer, in this research, using CFD simulation, heat transfer in mini-channels with different grooves in the wall has been investigated. For this purpose, mini-channels of the same length and different grooves in the wall in three diameters of 2,5,8 mm were used. The simulation results show that creating a groove in the wall of the mini-channel increases its thermal performance compared to a smooth wall. The triangular groove has the best performance compared to other geometries.
