Abstract
Restrictions on fossil fuel supplies, energy crisis issues and environmental problems caused by fossil fuel consumption in recent years have led to the development and utilization of renewable energies such as biomass. In this paper, using a fixed bed reactor, effect of Polymer Addition on Catalytic Pyrolysis Products of Iranian Oak is investigated. It is observed that the amount of liquid produced by the presence of polystyrene polymer (PS) increased by about 89% and that of coke decreased by 33%. The amount of liquid obtained from pyrolysis associated with the synthetic polymer was also greater than that obtained from the pyrolysis to which the synthetic polymer was not added.
