Abstract
Electroperoxone due to some advantages over advanced oxidation is becoming a popular process to be used for industrial wastewater treatment. An experimental study was applied on evaluation and optimization of the operation parameters of restaurant wastewater treatment using electro peroxone. The aim of this article is to investigate the effects of various experimental parameters including reaction time, electrical current density, pH, hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) dosage, and the electrodes separation distance on the reduction in COD. The results represented that the COD removal rate and efficiency was ... under optimized treatment conditions (reaction time = 136 min, initial pH = 2.0, H2O2 concentration = 2000 ppm, electrodes separation distance = 1 cm , and electrical current = 10 mA/cm2). this project illustrated that the electro peroxone method could be remarked as a cost-effective alternative for the advanced oxidation process to treat restaurants wastewater.
