Investigation the Solubility of Anthraquinone Violet 3RN in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

The solubility of Anthraquinone Violet 3RN (AV3RN) was experimentally measured in supercritical CO2 (sc-CO2) at different temperatures (308 – 338K) and pressures (10 - 34MPa). The solubility of AV3RN varied in the range of 4.7 × 10−7 to 5.5 × 10−6 mole fractions. Obtained solubility data was correlated with four well-known density-based models; Chrastil, Bartle et al., Garlapati-Madras and Khansary et al. Empirical models developed by Khansary et al. along with Garlapati-Madras models exhibited the highest accordance and a proper agreement with experimental data. Also, it was shown that AV3RN evaporation is an endothermic process while its solvation is an exothermic process.
