Simulation and modeling of the fixed-bed multi-tubular reactor for maleic anhydride production

Abstract
A precise investigation was performed on the simulation and modeling of n-butane oxidation in this study. A stable one-dimensional pseudo-homogeneous axial system for the fixed bed maleic anhydride production reactor wan investigated. In this process, maleic anhydride is the main product while CO2, CO, and H2O are the collateral products that are expected to reduce as the level of selectivity elevates. The profiles for temperature, pressure, and the molar percentage of the reactants and products are demonstrated after the simulation is performed and the model equations are solved in MATLAB.
