Thermal simulation of distribution transformers for energy optimization and higher efficiency

In this research, simulation of transformer oil was done to evaluate the thermal characteristics of industrial oils for different transformers. It was performed using a simulator device that was designed in our previous experiment. We also utilized Ansys Simulation Software, the Fluent Module as a part of this software, to improve the accuracy of this design. Some parameters like electrical power of simulator, physical and chemical properties of the oil were investigated in these conditions. The simulation results showed good agreement with real parameters in the simulator device. Other parameters like time duration and used amp were also considered for a better comparison of computer simulation and the real condition of the simulator device. An adaptation of the experimental results and computer simulation for transformer oils can be more effective for different types of transformers especially power and distribution transformers.
