Effect of Addition of ZnO Nanoparticles on The Thermal and Mechanical Properties of Polypropylene

In this work, the effect of Zinc Oxide nanoparticles on water-based liquid polypropylene on viscosity, thermal conductivity and mechanical strength is investigated at different temperatures and nanoparticles concentration. It is observed an increase in nanofluid viscosity by increasing the concentration of nanoparticles in the fluid and a decrease in nanofluid viscosity by increasing the temperature. The results of the presented model show an increase in conductive heat transfer coefficient and consequently an increase in heat transfer rate by the addition of nanoparticles, as well as nanofluidic mechanical strengths such as bending, tensile and impact strengths. The comparison between experimental and calculated by model, it can be concluded that the model can well predict the experimental data.
