Abstract
The sorption of methylene from aqueous solutions using nano chitosan particles (CNP) was investigated under various examination conditions. First, CNP was synthesized and the morphology of CNP was then studied under scanning electron microscope (SEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). FTIR result confirmed the presence of maleic acid in CNP. The adsorption process was studied at different dye initial concentrations , adsorbate concentration and interaction time. The maximum removal percentage of % 99 was attained for adsorbent dose of 0.5 g L-1, initial dye concentration = 40 mg L−1, pH 13, and shaking rate = 300 rpm, at 40 min.
