Abstract
The water treatments techniques using advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) and adaptable to the industrial needs, is a challenge for scientists. Among these techniques DBD falling film reactors are good alternatives for traditional treatments. Firstly, the structures of DBD falling film reactors for degradation of pollutants are outlined in this review. The structures Coaxial type and Planner plate type were studied.
Then, the best regime of flow was recommended. Finally, characterization of these reactors for handling AOPs such as method of modeling for calculation of mass transfer coefficient, hydrodynamic aspects, kinetics for calculation of rate equation, and mechanism of degradation pollutants were studied.
