Abstract
The main goal of this study is to estimate the solubility of NaCl and CaCl2 in Teriethylene Glycol (TEG) which can be used to estimate the amount of precipitation at the dehydration unit in a natural gas refinery plant. Due to the lack of experimental data for the solubility of NaCl and CaCl2 in TEG, a set of experiments were carried out to measure the solubility in the temperature range of 40-180 °C. ELEC-NRTL equation of state was chosen to model the solubility, and the binary interaction parameters were estimated using the experimental data. The results showed that there is good agreement between the experimental and modeling results.
