Curing of Epoxy/UFNBRP Nano Composites Using Calorimetric Method

Abstract
In this study, the curing kinetics of epoxy nanocomposites were investigated in the presence of different percentages (0, 0.5, 1) of ultra fine NBR (UFNBR) . The morphology of the nanocomposites was investigated using SEM and TEM tests. The curing kinetics studies were carried out using Differential scanning calorimetry according to isothermal condition at 65, 70, and 75 oC. The results showed that the surface area under the curve increased with 0.5 and 1% UFNBR and the total enthalpy increased with respect to the epoxy resin sample.The total enthalpy is decreased which may be due to the good interaction between the epoxy resin and the elastomeric nanoparticles
