Synthesis the novel nano-magnetic metal organic framework supported on the activated carbon for adsorption of hydroquinone in the aqueous solutions

This paper reveals the remarkable removal of hydroquinone (HQ) from aqueous solution by using magnetic cobalt Metal Organic Framework (MOF) nano-composite supported on the walnut based activated carbon (AC). The nano-composite characterization tests including FESEM and XRD were evaluted for determination of adsorbent morphology. The findings of characterization study illustrated that the nano-composites was prepared with sizes less than 20 nm with high dispersion. Isotherm adsorption was also evaluated by empolying Freundlich and Langmuir models. The experimental data was in the proper agreement with Langmuir model and the maximum adsorption capacities for synthesized sample was estimated to be 249.20 mg/g.
