The Modeling of Peng–Robinson, Soave-Redlich-Kwong and Pazuki equations of state to predict the solubility of Amiodarone Hydrochloride, Ketotifen fumarate and Celecoxib in supercritical carbon dioxide

In this study, the solubility of three representative drugs including Amiodarone Hydrochloride (AMH), Ketotifen fumarate (KTF) and Celecoxib (CCB) in supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) was calculated. In order to study the solubility of these drugs, three equations of state (EOSs) including Pazuki, Soave-Redlich-Kwong (SRK) and Peng–Robinson (PR) along with three mixing rules: VDW1, VdW2 and Adachi–Sugie were used. The results showed that the Peng–Robinson equation of state has the least value of average absolute relative deviation (%AARD) compared to the other equations of state. Moreover, all the equations studied in this work along with VdW2 mixing rule showed more accurate results.
