Solubility of Valsartan in Supercritical Carbon Dioxide: Experimental Measurement and Correlation

Abstract
In this study, the solubility of valsartan in supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) was measured within pressures ranging from (12 to 24) MPa and at various temperatures (308.15, 318.15 and 328.15) K. Subsequently, five semi-empirical equations include of Chrastil, Kumar & Johnston, Mendez-Santiago & Teja, del Valle & Aguilera, and Sung & Shim have been used for determining the solubility of valsartan in SC-CO2. In fact, in this work, the experimental data were obtained using the static flow apparatus and were correlated using these semi-empirical equations. In this study, the results obtained from these semi-empirical equations were in good agreement with our experimental data.
